Permanent Tooth Replacement

Dr Roy has skillfully restored many Cairns smiles with beautiful dental implants. In fact, Dr Roy is also a trusted dentist for many medical professionals living in Brisbane and Melbourne. Our clinic invites you to book a consultation session with Dr Roy, to discuss the future of your smile.

Dental implants are widely known and appreciated for the convenience they offer as a permanent tooth replacement solution. Rooted in the bone, implants look and feel like your own healthy teeth. Unlike dentures, there isn’t a requirement for artificial material to adhere to the roof of your mouth. Dental implants are highly effective at restoring smiles without causing any wear on  neighbouring healthy teeth.

One other benefit to choosing dental implants is that they last longer than any other teeth replacement solution, including dental bridges and dentures. At Cairns Dental Boutique we recognise that post-treatment care is vital to the future of your dental implants, that’s why Dr Roy takes the time to provide you with the right information to care for your beautiful new smile.

Do you need a dental implant?

Dental implants are a modern form of technology perfectly suited to individuals who need a permanent tooth replacement solution. Due to the technique and materials used in constructing dental implants, this highly effective cosmetic solution offers durability without complications.

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root. It is usually made of titanium which is very strong and readily accepted by human tissues. The implant is inserted into the jaw and then left for around six months for the bone to fuse with the implant, creating a strong anchor for the replacement tooth. After the bone has fused with the dental implant, the treatment is completed with a finely sculpted replacement tooth known as a crown that is screwed onto the implant by your dentist. The result is a very strong, durable and natural looking replacement tooth that functions and appears just like a real tooth.

Single and multiple dental implants

They are applied in two parts. A small titanium post is inserted into the gum to replace the missing root. This post will then fuse with the jaw bone, providing strength and durability becoming the self-supporting foundation for the newly created tooth. A crown or bridge is then placed over the top to create the look and function of a natural tooth.

For many years I have been saving up money to get my implants placed in my 3 missing molars so I could chew and enjoy my food. Money very well spent, Dr Roy and his team made it possible for me to bite and chew my food well which in turn has made me a happier and more content person. Highly recommend Cairns Dental Boutique.
